VMware的安裝與配置
軟體配置情況：
VMware server 1.0.6
MS windows (Win9x/NT/2000/XP/2003)
Red Hat linux 9 (version 2.4.20-8, Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)
最低硬體配置：
CPU：P4 2.0GHz
記憶體：256MB
硬碟：40GB（視具體情況而定）
注意：要保證系統記憶體大於256MB，否則無法進行正常安裝
1.1 windows篇
安裝安裝前windows需要安裝IIS元件，以便於通過web訪問vmare server
安裝過程如下圖所示：
第一個頁面
點選Next，繼續；
選中“I accept……”點選Next，繼續；
點選Next，繼續；
確認路徑後，點選Next，繼續；
點選Install，繼續；
安裝完成。（序列號請見附錄1）
配置執行VMware Server Console
點選File—>New—>VirtualMachine……(或者Ctrl+N)
新建一個虛擬機器檔案：
點選 下一步 ，繼續；
點選 下一步 ，繼續；
以安裝Red Hat Linux 為例，點選 下一步 ，繼續；
點選 下一步 ，繼續；
基於我公司局網環境，在網路設定裡，選擇第一項，橋連線即可。
點選 下一步 ，繼續；
申請虛擬機器的磁碟空間大小，視安裝的系統及host主機的硬體配置情況而定，預設為8.0GB，預設勾選 Allocate all disk space now 選項，一次性分配到指定磁碟空間。為了保證儲存位置連續性，從而提高磁碟效率，建議勾選此項。
點選 完成 ，開始分配磁碟空間，建立虛擬機器；
這些硬體配置都可以在此進行修改。至此虛擬機器安裝建立完畢。可以在該虛擬機器上建立系統，也可以再建立其他虛擬機器來滿足需要。
我們在工作中，如果需要將虛擬機器隨hos os啟動而執行，則需要完成如下配置：
開啟 VMWare Server Console, 開啟需要自動啟動的虛擬機器.
選擇VM->Settings->Options->Startup/Shudown
選中 this user , 並添如管理員使用者密碼
在 on host startup 選中 Power ON，完成即可
1.2 linux篇
安裝我們以VMware-server-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz安裝檔案為例，簡介一下安裝流程。
需要準備一個VMware-mui-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz檔案，用於安裝web監控服務。
將下載的檔案VMware-server-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz進行解壓縮：（所有命令列注意空格）
（以下淺綠色命令列，僅供參考，以實際情況為準）
# tar zxvf VMware-server-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz
待解壓完成後，進入解壓目錄，執行安裝檔案：
# cd vmware-server-distrib/
# ./vmware-install.pl
選擇二進位制檔案安裝路徑（可以按預設操作，一路確認下去）

[/etc/rc.d] #選擇初始化目錄安裝路徑

選擇相關檔案安裝路徑

開始安裝前的準備，系統會提示確認一些安裝準備資訊，然後是閱讀安裝協議，並按照提示輸入yes，開始安裝。注意網路配置：
配置網路

建立perl指令碼檔案

生成SSL證書檔案

按照提示安裝，完畢後會有輸入序列號的提示，請參考附錄1，輸入20位產品序列號。
開始安裝：VMware-mui-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz檔案包，該檔案包提供了可通過web介面進行便捷的查詢操作。
解壓縮後，進入安裝目錄，執行安裝程式：
# tar zxvf VMware-mui-1.0.6-91891.tar.gz
# cd vmware-mui-distrib/
# ./vmware-install.pl
按照提示進行安裝即可。

設定vmware-config-mui.pl配置檔案
Before running VMware Management Interface for the first time, you need to
configure it by invoking the following command:
“/usr/bin/vmware-config-mui.pl”. Do you want this program to invoke the command

設定最大閒置時間單位分種
Set the number of minutes before an http session times out. (This is the length
of time before someone connecting to VMware Management Interface will be logged

安裝完成。
配置安裝完成後可通過訪問以下地址來驗證及檢視安裝VMware的相關資訊：
https://虛擬機器IP地址:8333/vmware/en/
用guest os使用者登入即可進行相關配置，並進行相關操作，linux的圖形介面操作與windows類似。
