代詞作形容詞的常用搭配

a(n) + 基數詞
The student made a two minutes’ speech in French.
a(n) + 序數詞
He started to learn a second foreign language.
a(n) + few/little
The waiter taught me a few Italian words.
the + 基數詞
The four of us went out to sea in a boat.
the + 序數詞
She is always the first to get to her office.
the + next
The next patient was an old lady.
the + last
The captain was the last to get into the lifeboat.
the + other
Each of the two teams tried to beat the other team.
the + many
The many years I spent in the college were happiest.
我在大學度過的許多年是我一生中最幸福的。
the + few
The few dollars he had were not enough for the pen.
他有的那點錢不夠買這只鋼筆。
the + little
She drink the little juice left in the cup.
她把杯子裏還剩的一點果汁喝掉了。
these/those + 基數詞
What have you been doing these five years?
these/those + few
Those few samples will be checked carefully.
形容詞性物主代詞 + many/little
My many friends are very successful.
Our little petrol could only last a few miles.
some/any/no + other
Besides Bill, Sam invited some other neighbors to dinner.
Johnson drives better than any other student in his class.
No other footprint was found in the snow.
some/any/no + more
Without flour, I can’t make any more bread.
He said no more about it.
some/any/no + such
There is no such word in English.
Some such flowers will be needed at the party.
every + 基數詞
Every two students share a room.
every + other
We go to the theatre every other week.
我們每隔一周看一次戲。
every + few
The news was broadcast every few hours.
這新聞每隔幾個小時廣播一次。
all/both/half + the
All the good compositions will be put up on the wall.
many/基數詞/several + more
A few people were against the plan, but many more supported it.
Grandfather gave Mike three more bars of chocolate.
She brought several more cups.
她又拿來幾只杯子。
基數詞/other/another/many/few + such 表示“XX個這樣的”
One such table will do.
