I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one thinking it’s absurd for cryptocurrency ventures to replicate existing financial instruments or systems in tokenomics.

For those who notice subtlety, a quiet rebellion is developing in the altcoin movement which is blasting conventional financial wisdom outside of it’s comfort zone.

One thing that unanimously aligns the advocates of the alternative economy is our view on the current state of Westernised capitalism. It completely sucks because it is unsustainable and manipulated by highly influential and powerful businessmen who are driven by self-serving financial gluttony. Most of the world is brainwashed by unethical mainstream media who fill small minds with propaganda and a plastic, sugar-coated “moral code”.

Given the fact we all know this to be true, decentralization and self sovereign equal opportunity will never be achieved if we keep repeating the same mistakes. And correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly certain re-distributing wealth by fuelling human self-interest is counter-productive.

I really don’t enjoy being Little Miss Cynical. My attitude is usually high energy perpetual optimism. But I think it’s time for me to turn the dial right down to augmented reality. It’s swinging towards enthusiastic activism, with a healthy dose of exasperated ranting about zombie pop culture.

Let’s boil my personal values down to basics: I am not superior than any other living thing on earth. I don’t believe in human rights, privilege, or entitlement. It’s not unreasonable for me to expect that every person has a responsibility to clean up or pick up their own, or their pet animal’s shit.

But just like every other human, I am genetically biased. So I reserve the right to respect people more when they support or contribute to socially beneficial causes, or actively develop sustainable practices which reduces our human carbon footprint.

My idea of augmented reality is likely to be very different from the perception of the general public. But that doesn’t mean I’m crazy. To be honest, I’m sick and tired of listening to narrow-minded know-it-alls.

You know the type: Can’t do this, can’t do that. CANT people love to drown out the sound of open-minded ideas. CANT people have a habit of saying “it’s always been this way, it’s never going to change”. CANT people are like stubborn weeds in the garden, choking and strangling their roots into everything.

But next time you see a cottage garden, take a moment to appreciate how flowers and plants can flourish despite ever present weeds. And it only takes a little maintenance each day.

The point I’m trying to make is: The alternative global economy will be nothing like the current mess we’ve made. We will have choices, and not because our governments give us permission to. It’s going to be a fun ride but not everyone is a winner. There will be disappointments but it will provide digital resilience. You can guarantee entertainment, witty sarcasm and moments full of belly laughs. Work will be rewarding because it’s infused with our self-pride. Home is where the heart is, and family aren’t necessarily blood relatives.

It doesn’t seem completely far fetched to strive for change in Australia.

Criminals built this country down under (in no man’s land) on a cooperative constitution. And even though the governing precedents are dated, the fundamental principles are timeless.

I used to think my little sister was an idiot for playing the game: Second Life. I am now more educated about the augmented reality concept and exploring modern governance such as holacracy. I’m entertaining the possibility of a new era of gaming to become the evolved reality. I’m an ambassador for Strange Loop Games and their educational eco simulators. What a smart venture.

In 1900 Joseph Conrad’s published his fictional book, LORD JIM. The novel can be seen as an allegory about isolation and solidarity, the ship’s company serving as a microcosm of a social group. He accurately established the fact: Humanitarian sympathies are, at their core, feelings of self-interest and that a heightened sensitivity to suffering can be detrimental to the management of a human society.

If we remove emotion from the equation, imagine an economy of data driven decisions driven by multi-lateral gaming networks and immersive niche communities. Multi-player tournament games are on their way to reinventing social commerce, the future of work and, dare I say, will change the way we learn, think and solve first world problems.

Right now (October 2018) I am welcoming introductions to owners of Australian gaming centres or internet cafes who might be curious about building a safe digital ecosystem for our children.

Forget life-long mortgages and being chained to debt until you die. That’s the old way of doing things. And quit hurting your brain with derivative equities. That’s what corrupt financial experts do because they are having a mid-life crisis. Smart, financially literate people don’t make the same mistakes as previous generations.

I’m bracing myself for a troll of emotionally charged people who will criticise this article because it sounds like Alice in Wonderland.
