hello HN, I'm a recent graduate in Computer Science, my university experience was very good, got a great final grade and I've been considered by my professors and fellow students one of the best of my year, who often came to me for help and with whom I got along well. Still I'm not getting past those first non-technical calls, I get called by people who are very good and very fast at talking, at the end they say will let me know and don't call back. I'm probably Asperger, I'm a bad talker, I'm monotone, succinct and I find it hard to grasp for words at time, which lead to awkward pauses.

My resume works great, I received dozen of calls but not even one technical interview yet, How can I get a job like this? If communication skills were this absolute barrier in Computer Science I might as well not have wasted my time taking this useless degree. I'm not even an asocial person or anything, I get along with people fine after a bit of knowing.

Any suggestions? I live in a rural area and I'm short on money, so going to events and meetups would be a problem. Maybe trying to get into freelancing or would it pose the same problems? Any suggestions welcome.
