Amazon Elastic File System （Amazon EC2のファイルストレージサービス）
Amazon EFS ファイルシステムが Amazon EC2 インスタンスにマウントされると、標準的なファイルシステムインターフェイスと、ファイルシステムアクセスのセマンティクスが提供され、既存のアプリケーションやツールに Amazon EFS をシームレスに統合できます。複數の Amazon EC2 インスタンスから 1 つの Amazon EFS ファイルシステムに同時にアクセスできるため、複數の Amazon EC2 インスタンスで実行されているワークロードやアプリケーションに共通のデータソースを提供できます。
AWS Direct Connect で Amazon VPC に接続している場合は、オンプレミスのデータセンターサーバーに Amazon EFS ファイルシステムをマウントできます。EFS ファイルシステムをオンプレミスサーバーにマウントすることで、データセットを EFS に移行したり、クラウドバースティングのシナリオを使用可能にしたり、オンプレミスのデータを EFS にバックアップしたりできます。
