在AP模式下，熱點會不斷定期地傳送Beacon幀來宣告自己存在，告知裝置可以加入網路；Probe Response幀是用於應答Probe Request幀，Probe Request幀是移動工作站用於掃描周圍是否有網路所用

hostapd的配置檔案hostapd.conf裡的vendor_elements這一項，允許使用者（廠商）在Beacon幀和Probe幀裡增加自定義的資料：
