Zendar is hiring compute acceleration engineer in Berkeley
At Zendar, we are working on a high-resolution imaging radar system that allows self driving cars to see through fog, rain and snow. We are a team of software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and researchers pushing the boundaries of what a radar can see.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Compute Acceleration Engineer to join our growing team in Berkeley, CA. Our team is developing brand new radar imaging algorithms to help radars see better than ever before. You will be responsible for finding the best way to accelerate these cutting-edge algorithms. You will collaborate closely with our imaging research team to architect, design, and deliver a custom hardware compute solution for our real-time imaging radar. If you are excited to develop DSP microarchitecture from scratch, explore architectural tradeoffs, and implement your design in RTL, this position is for you!
Required Qualifications:
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. 3+ years experience with microarchitectural design of signal or image processing blocks - such as FIR filter, FFT, CORDIC, etc. Excellent signal processing fundamentals. Excellent understanding of computer architecture and digital hardware. Proficient with Verilog/VHDL.
Nice-to-Have: Strong understanding of modern CPU or GPU architecture. Familiarity with SoC integration. Experience with ASIC toolchain from simulation to signoff.
