The cloud migration also laid the groundwork for considerable savings. Cahill explains, “We avoided having to replace multiple end-of-life SAN systems in 2013 which eliminated about $800,000 capital expenditure. Moreover, we estimate that the move to the AWS Cloud will reduce our existing hosting costs by about $500,000 per year.”
