stakeholder理論起源於企業管理領域，最早由斯坦福大學在20世紀60年代提出，到20世紀年代80年代逐步發展完善，成為公司治理和權益保護的理論依據。美國經濟學家弗里曼給出的stakeholder定義如下：能夠影響一個組織目標實現的個人或者組織，或者能夠被組織目標實現影響的個人或組織，這個定義逐漸為大家所認可。

project stakeholder是stakeholder理論在專案管理上的應用，project stakeholder有如下幾種定義：

1、PMBOK

Persons and orgnizations such as customers, sponsors, performing organization and the public, that are actively involved in the project, or whose interests may be positively or negatively affected by execution or completion of the project. They may also expert influence over the project and its deliverables.

積極參與專案，以及其利益受專案的執行和結束積極影響或消極影響的個人或者組織，例如客戶、贊助商、執行機構和公眾；他們可以對專案及其工作產品施加影響。

2、RUP

an individual or orgnization who is materially affected by the outcome of the system or the project producing the system.

受系統輸出或者開發系統的專案重大影響的個人或組織；

stakeholder有如下幾種中文翻譯：

1、干係人，多見於專案管理方面的書籍或網站；

2、涉眾，多見於Rational相關的書籍或網站；

3、利益相關者，多見於財務管理、會計等企業管理方面的書籍或網站；

這幾種翻譯到底哪種貼切，真是仁者見仁，智者見智；個人在工作中經常使用的是干係人。
