Nowadays, we live in an advanced world. We use many new inventionsthat people long ago never imagined. In the past, people could notregularly communicate with others. It took days ,weeks, or even monthsjust to send a letter. There were no telephones. So people had to talkface to face. 　　Nowadays,we use cell phones to call anyone anywhere in the world.And we send email to people instantly thanks to the internet. 　　In the past, traveling short distances took a long time. People eitherwalked or rode on a horse. Now ,most people own cars. They can drivelong distances in short period of time. And people can even fly aroundthe world on airplanes now. 　　In the past, people often died because of poor medical treatment. Evena toothache could sometimes kill a person! Now, vaccines protect peoplefrom disease. And doctors are making more and more discoveries everyday. 　　我們如今生活在一個先進的世界裡,使用著過去人們無法想象的很多新發明。過去,人們無法與他人經常聯絡,連寄一封信都可能要花幾天、幾個星期,甚至幾個月的時間對方才能收到。過去也沒有電話,人們只能面對面交流,如今,人們可以用手機給世界各地的人打電話。而且由於有了網際網路,人們可以即時給別人傳送電子郵件。 　　過去人們只能步行或騎馬,即使短途旅行也要花很長時間。而現在,大多數人都有汽車,在短時間內就能駕車去很遠的地方,人們甚至還可以乘飛機飛往世界各地。 　　過去人們常因醫療條件差而喪命,有時連牙痛都能奪走一個人的生命。現在,疫苗使人們遠離疾病,而且醫生每天都在獲取越來越多的新發現。
